Spring Mill State Park Lake
There is no swimming in Spring Mill State Park Lake. However, you can rent boats (in season) or bring your own to explore the lake.
Boat Rentals at Spring Mill State Park Lake
Spring Mill State Park has a limited number of kayaks, canoes, rowboats and paddleboats available for rent on a first come-first served basis – no reservations. No refunds for early returns. Last boat goes out at 3 pm – all boats in by 4 pm.

Kayaks, Canoes & Rowboats $10 per hour plus tax
$30 per day (plus tax) for all day rental - no all day rental on weekends or holidays

Boat Ramp
There is a small concrete boat ramp on Spring Mill Lake, so you may bring your own canoe, kayak, or other non-motorized watercraft to enjoy the lake. Motorized boats are limited to those with electric trolling motors powered by no more than two 12-volt batteries.
A lake permit is required for all privately-owned boats utilizing Spring Mill Lake. Purchase a lake permit online at Mother Nature’s Mercantile.
